Thank you, Michelle, and welcome, everyone, to our first quarter conference call. I have with me, Jon Faulkner, our CFO. Our safe harbor statement is included by reference, both to our website and press release.
For the first quarter of 2019, the company had net sales of $88.6 million as compared to $98.8 million in 2018. First quarter 2019 net sales were down 10.4%. For the first quarter of 2019, the company had a loss from continuing operations of $6.641 million or $0.42 per diluted share as compared to a loss of $2.884 million or $0.18 per diluted share in the first quarter of '18.
