Good afternoon, and welcome to the presentation for FARO Corporation. I'm Rick Eastman, Managing Director and Senior Analyst here at Baird; and with my partner, Rob Mason, we co-cover the advanced industrial equipment sector.
We are pleased to have FARO at the CT&S Conference this year. As a cyclical growth idea, this may prove an interesting time to take a fresh look at FARO, as FARO's traditional industrial metrology business is a laggard beneficiary of a cyclical upturn in spending. In addition, FARO remains in the early innings of a planned turnaround and in the hands of a management team with a track record of success.
Historically, FARO has held a leadership position in 3D manufacturing products, which integrate measurement and quality inspection functions with CAD software to improve or ensure quality at the point of production. Increasingly, the technology is migrating towards noncontact scanning, which provides added value and functionality.
