OpenAI has been engaging with potential investors for a new funding round, which could bring in nearly $7 billion. Reports indicate that Apple (AAPL, Financial) is no longer part of these negotiations. According to sources, Apple recently withdrew from the discussions, which are set to conclude next week.

Meanwhile, tech giants Microsoft and Nvidia are also in talks to participate in this funding round. It is expected that Microsoft will invest an additional $1 billion, building on the $13 billion it has already invested in OpenAI.

The negotiations are not yet finalized, and the participants and investment amounts may still change.
