Boeing's largest union announced that negotiations with the plane manufacturer have halted due to a failure to reach an agreement that could resolve the ongoing strike issues.
The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers stated on Friday that no progress has been made on pension issues. Additionally, Boeing has not engaged substantially on matters related to wage increases and faster wage growth. The union mentioned that no further meetings are currently scheduled.
The strike, which began on September 13, involves around 33,000 union members and has brought Boeing's plant near Seattle to a standstill. Boeing expressed its commitment to rebuilding relationships with employees and negotiating sincerely to reach an agreement as soon as possible. The company is ready to meet at any time.
