Nikkei 225 Opens Higher by 0.8% as Japanese Stocks Surge

Japanese stocks opened higher, with the Nikkei 225 index rising by 0.8% to 38,232.47 points. The broader Topix index also saw a gain of 0.6%, starting at 2,661.65 points. Meanwhile, the South Korean stock market remains closed today.
