Record Inflows to Emerging Market Funds Highlighted by Robust Investment in China

Recent data from EPFR Global reveals that global emerging market equity funds saw an impressive $15.5 billion inflow, marking the second-highest on record. This substantial investment included $13.9 billion directed towards the Chinese stock market, achieving a historic second-highest inflow as well.

For the past 18 weeks, emerging market equity funds have continually attracted new investments. Year-to-date, the influx of capital into the Chinese market has reached $114 billion. In contrast, India has seen an influx of $21.3 billion, while Brazil experienced a $3 billion capital outflow during the same period.

The data also indicates that emerging market fixed-income funds recorded a $100 million inflow, marking the third consecutive week of positive inflows.
