Mercedes-Benz announced a slight decrease in its third-quarter vehicle sales, attributing the decline to weakening demand, particularly in Asian markets, which offset improvements in product supply.
The company sold 503,600 vehicles during the quarter, marking a 1% year-over-year decrease. Notably, sales of pure electric vehicles reached 42,500 units, representing a significant 31% drop compared to the same period last year.
Sales in the Chinese market fell by 13% to 170,700 units due to reduced demand and ongoing price reductions. Mercedes-Benz plans to enhance its product lineup in China, with a focus on updating its core offerings with advanced smart driving technology throughout this year.
