Apple (AAPL, Financials) is preparing to manufacture revised MacBook Air versions using the M4 processor; a release is anticipated in early 2025, Bloomberg reported Wednesday.

Though with the M4 CPU for enhanced performance, Bloomberg said, the next 13- and 15-inch MacBook Air models, dubbed J713 and J715, would have the same design as the 2022 iteration.

Following a software upgrade planned for December, the MacBook Air models are slated to arrive between January and March; Apple last upgraded the MacBook Air in March with the M3 CPU and unveiled a 15-inch model with the M2 chip in June 2023.

As part of the same product cycle, Apple is also anticipated to release other new goods, including a revised iPhone SE and new iPads, Bloomberg said. The new entry-level iPads—codenamed J481 and J482—will be the 11th-generation tablets, according to the report.

Apple also postponed the debut of its upscale Mac Studio, which is now anticipated between March and June. According to Bloomberg, the M4 chip will be found in the upcoming Mac Studio and other devices, which will offer enhanced AI processing capability and ray tracing for gaming.
