Oracle (ORCL, Financials) is collaboration with NTT DATA Japan to enhance sovereign cloud capabilities using Oracle Alloy, according to a statement from the company.
According to Oracle's release, the action is meant to help Japan's public and private sectors embrace cloud services while attending to data sovereignty needs.
The firm claims that using Oracle Alloy in its data centers would allow NTT DATA Japan to access over 150 Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services, including artificial intelligence capabilities. With other services planned to be accessible in Japan East by December 2025 and Japan West by March 2027, Oracle said this deployment will extend NTT DATA's OpenCanvas sovereign cloud.
The comment also mentioned Oracle's larger initiatives to encourage cloud usage, which include its recent $8 billion investment in cloud infrastructure and artificial intelligence in Japan. Oracle underlined that the expenditure will include operational assistance for implementing Oracle Alloy by NTT DATA Japan.
Focusing on compliance and data sovereignty, Oracle stated that NTT DATA Japan seeks to deliver improved cloud services to its clients. The cooperation is also meant to help the worldwide expansion plan of NTT DATA, based on the announcement.
Oracle underlined that its distributed cloud solutions—which include hybrid and multi-cloud models—offer flexibility for different worldwide needs. The firm again underlined that this cooperation is part of its continuous efforts to provide complete cloud solutions.
