Google is developing an advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technology aimed at autonomously operating web browsers for tasks such as research and online shopping. Internally referred to as Project Jarvis, the initiative is expected to be unveiled alongside Google's upcoming Gemini large language model in December.

The technology seeks to elevate interactions between humans and computers to a new level, allowing AI to directly engage with users' computers or browsers. This marks a significant advancement in AI's ability to perform complex tasks without human intervention.

Similarly, OpenAI, backed by Microsoft, is developing models capable of independently browsing the web. This initiative is guided by a system known as "CUA" (Computer Use Agent), designed to act based on information collected from the web.
