Users can now set up stock alerts directly on the stock summary pages

Dr. Charlie Tian, the founder of GuruFocus.com, went live today to discuss new features of the website and answered questions from users.

The founder started the livestream with a recap of market valuations in light of the 2024 presidential election. Tian highlighted the Buffett Indicator, the Shiller PE Ratio, and the GF Value of the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 Indexes.

Tian then highlighted several new features of the website, including the GuruAI chat bot in the stock summary page and the new Stock Alerts button. The founder gave examples of GuruAI and the new Stocks Alerts button using Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (BRK.A, Financial)(BRK.B, Financial) and Super Micro Computer Inc. (SMCI, Financial) as examples.

The founder then answered several questions from the audience, including the asset allocations of Warren Buffett (Trades, Portfolio) and the backtesting of the Joel Greenblatt Magic Formula Screener. He then showed users how to create a customized ranking in the Screener, using examples like return on invested capital and operating margin.

Tian then covered several other stocks, including SPS Commerce Inc. (SPSC, Financial), ASML Holding NV (ASML, Financial), Celsius Holdings Inc. (CELH, Financial), Palantir Technologies Inc. (PLTR, Financial) and Monster Beverage Corp. (MNST, Financial). Several audience members asked questions involving the difference between the GF Value and other valuation methods like discounted cash flow, Peter Lynch Fair Value, and Earnings Power Value.

The founder then concluded the meeting with a discussion of the Most Broadly Held Portfolio and its performance relative to the S&P 500 since the model portfolio's inception in 2006. Tian also discussed the Aggregated Portfolio of Gurus, a Premium feature that allows users to view the broadest-owned stocks among over 140 renowned money managers and hedge funds. Premium Plus users can expand their guru trades and portfolio coverage to over 8,000 financial institutions as listed under the Complete Guru List.

Users can also create their own guru lists and view the Aggregated Portfolio of stocks for their personalized list of gurus.
