The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has expressed concerns regarding Tesla's social media posts about its "Full Self-Driving" (FSD) software. These posts suggest that the FSD can be used as a robotaxi, operating without driver supervision. This announcement comes following an investigation launched by the agency, which covers 2.4 million vehicles equipped with the FSD software. The investigation was prompted by four collision incidents. NHTSA communicated to Tesla that the information shared on social media may mislead users into thinking FSD is a fully autonomous system, rather than a partially automated driver assistance technology that still requires driver attention and periodic intervention.
