Insiders reveal that some of President-elect Donald Trump's key advisors support Scott Bessent, the head of hedge fund Key Square Group, as the leading candidate for Treasury Secretary. Although Trump has not yet made a decision or offered the position to anyone, Bessent's contributions during the campaign, ranging from fundraising to assisting with economic speeches and policy drafts, have earned Trump's respect.
Bessent's spokesperson has declined to comment on the matter, and the Trump team has not immediately responded to requests for comment.
