HIVE Digital (HIVE) Invests $30M in NVIDIA AI GPU Clusters for AI Expansion

HIVE Digital Technologies (HIVE, Financial), known for its focus on cryptocurrency mining and blockchain, has announced a $30 million investment in NVIDIA (NVDA) AI GPU clusters in Quebec, Canada. This high-performance computing cluster will include 248 H100 AI GPUs and 508 H200 AI GPUs. The H100 cluster is expected to be operational by the end of 2024, generating annual revenue of approximately $15 million. The H200 cluster is set to start in January 2025, with projected revenue exceeding $20 million by the second quarter of 2025.

HIVE Digital is expanding its business to include high-performance computing (HPC) and AI data centers, responding to the growing demand for AI training and inference resources. This shift aligns with the global trend of companies investing in generative AI. NVIDIA's data center revenue has surged, highlighting the ongoing demand for AI infrastructure.

HIVE aims to leverage its new AI-focused strategy to capture the growing HPC and AI data center market, positioning itself advantageously in the AI supercycle.
