Since last week, the Starbucks Workers Union has initiated a strike that has now extended to over 300 Starbucks locations across the United States, involving more than 5,000 employees. While Starbucks operates over 10,000 company-owned stores in the U.S., the company states that 98% of its locations remain open, with around 170 stores temporarily closed. However, the union claims that more than 290 stores are fully closed and that strikes are planned in over 300 stores across 45 states.

The union, representing employees from 525 Starbucks locations nationwide, has organized strikes in major cities like New York, Los Angeles, Boston, and Seattle. The protest targets issues related to wages, staffing, and scheduling. Despite the strike, Starbucks expects the impact on operations to be "very limited." Analysts suggest that revenue may not be significantly affected.
