Chip Stocks Decline as Philadelphia Semiconductor Index Falls

The U.S. stock market saw a decline in semiconductor stocks, with the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index dropping by 1.3%. This decline was reflected across various chip manufacturers.

Nano Microelectronics experienced a significant drop of 9.3%, while Wolfspeed fell by 7.9%. MaxLinear also saw a decrease of 5.1% in its stock value. Supermicro Computer (SMCI, Financial) faced a decline of 4.58%, and AMD's stock decreased by 4.3%.

GlobalFoundries saw its stock fall by 3.88%, and Skyworks Solutions recorded a decline of 2.92%. ON Semiconductor's stock decreased by 2.6%. Additionally, STMicroelectronics ADR experienced a drop of 3.39%.
