NVIDIA (NVDA) Leads Market with Strong Trading Volume Despite Slight Decline

NVIDIA (NVDA) topped the U.S. stock market in trading volume, closing with a minor decline of 0.02% and a transaction value of $30.953 billion. Rosenblatt maintained NVIDIA's target price at $220.

Tesla (TSLA) rose by 0.15% with a trading volume of $28.371 billion. UBS analysts predict Tesla could earn over €1 billion from automakers needing to meet stricter EU pollution standards. Tesla will collaborate with companies like Toyota, Stellantis NV, and Ford to sell electric vehicles, balancing fleet emissions. Automakers with fewer EV sales will compensate Tesla for exceeding CO2 emission limits.

Apple (AAPL, Financial) gained 0.20%, trading $8.96 billion. MoffettNathanson downgraded Apple to a sell rating with a target price of $188, citing concerns over legal and competitive challenges, including an antitrust case against Alphabet that could affect Apple's $25 billion annual revenue from Google. Apple's weakened position in China and slow AI service progress also pose risks.

Microsoft (MSFT) increased by 0.52%, with a $6.148 billion trading volume. The company plans layoffs, focusing on underperforming employees, confirmed by a Microsoft spokesperson.

Palantir (PLTR) fell 2.51%, continuing a three-day decline, with Morgan Stanley warning of further downside risks. MicroStrategy (MSTR) dropped 2.85% amid a decline in Bitcoin-related stocks. Meta Platforms (META) decreased 1.16%, introducing a feature to browse eBay items on Facebook Marketplace.

AMD (AMD) declined 4.31%, announcing a strategic partnership with Absci Corporation for AI-driven drug development, investing $20 million in Absci.

IONQ dropped 39% after NVIDIA CEO's comments on the commercialization timeline for quantum computers. Micron Technology (MU) fell 2.45%, planning a $7 billion investment in Singapore to expand chip manufacturing. Rigetti Computing (RGTI) also declined due to similar quantum computing concerns.
