Ford Motor Company (F, Financial) Chairman Bill Ford recently expressed confidence that the relationship between Tesla (TSLA) CEO Elon Musk and former President Donald Trump will not negatively impact traditional car manufacturers. He noted that Trump's understanding of the automotive industry has improved since his first term.

According to Ford, Trump contacted him to talk about various industry-related topics, including automotive tariffs, the significance of establishing manufacturing bases in the U.S., and incentives for electric vehicles and battery production. Bill Ford emphasized that he aligns with Trump on many issues, noting that Trump's interest in the growth of the American auto industry benefits Ford.
