Ford Motor Company (F, Financial) CEO Jim Farley announced that the company achieved a profit of approximately $600 million in its Chinese operations last year, despite a challenging market environment. Farley expressed pride in this accomplishment, highlighting that not many automakers can claim similar success in China.

Farley attributed part of this profitability to the export of vehicles like the Lincoln Nautilus, which is produced in China specifically for markets such as the United States. This strategy reflects Ford's growing "light asset" approach in China, which Farley has previously emphasized as a key component of the company's success in the region.

Typically, Ford does not disclose earnings by region, but these results underscore the effectiveness of its strategic operations in China.
