Apple's (AAPL, Financial) stock experienced a decline of up to 4% following a forecast from a renowned Apple analyst, predicting that this year's iPhone shipments might not meet Wall Street expectations. Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at TF International Securities, shared on Medium that he anticipates iPhone shipments in 2025 to range between 220 million and 225 million units. This projection falls short of the market consensus, which expected shipments to be 240 million units or higher.

The analyst noted that Apple has adopted a "cautious stance" in discussions with certain suppliers regarding this year's iPhone production plans.
