NVIDIA's newly released RTX 5090 graphics card has become a hot topic due to its pricing. Many gamers feel that the RTX 5090 is priced at double the cost of its predecessor, the RTX 4090, making it unaffordable for the average consumer. Other products in the RTX 50 series are also perceived as expensive for typical gamers.

In response to these concerns, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang addressed the issue during an interview at CES 2025. Huang explained that the high price of the RTX 5090 is not problematic because it targets users seeking the ultimate performance experience rather than saving money. He stated that enthusiasts who desire the best product would not opt for a lesser configuration just to save $100.

Huang acknowledged that the $1,999 price tag of the RTX 5090 is steep and not meant for all consumers. He believes that gamers who spend over $10,000 on a top-tier PC setup can easily afford this graphics card.

However, Tech4gamers reported that without using DLSS 4.0 and multi-frame generation technology, the performance improvement of the RTX 50 series over the RTX 40 series is limited and not as significant as officially claimed.
