XPeng Motors to Restore Popular "Say Hi" Feature Next Quarter

XPeng Motors (XPEV, Financial) Chairman He Xiaopeng announced that the company plans to reinstate the popular "Say Hi" feature in the next quarter. This decision comes after feedback from users who decided against upgrading to the latest vehicle system due to the removal of this feature.

The "Say Hi" function allows vehicles to activate a flowing light effect accompanied by a special sound, simulating a greeting. Initially, this feature was customizable with the X button in version 2.13, but was removed in the new Dimensity version update.

Recently, XPeng Motors launched the Dimensity XOS 5.5.0 update, known as the "Ten Thousand People Taste Test," which includes features like parking-to-parking intelligent driving and an upgraded XNGP end-to-end model. The company aims to recruit 15,000 participants for this upgrade trial.
