AAPL Rises on Anticipation of Apple Intelligence and iOS 18.1 Launch

Apple-related stocks experienced a significant uptick, driven by reports of Apple's upcoming release of Apple Intelligence and iOS 18.1. The Hong Kong Apple Concept Index surged 4.6%, with AAC Technologies rising 12% and Cowell E Holdings climbing 6%.

Last month, Apple (AAPL, Financial) unveiled the iPhone 16, touted as the first device designed for Apple Intelligence, but the feature was not yet available. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple Intelligence will debut at the end of this month, introducing six AI features in phases.

The initial version of Apple Intelligence is set to include features like notification summaries, with subsequent updates such as iOS 18.2 expected to integrate ChatGPT and support for custom emojis, Genmoji.
