Recent insights from tech journalist Mark Gurman reveal that some Apple (AAPL, Financial) employees believe the company is trailing behind in the development of artificial intelligence by approximately two years. Gurman notes that internal research shows ChatGPT's accuracy surpasses Apple's voice assistant Siri by about 25%, allowing it to answer a greater number of queries.

Gurman further speculates that by 2026, Apple Intelligence will be operational on every Apple device with a screen. Apple's strategic advantage lies in its ability to swiftly deploy new features across a vast array of devices, aiding in its efforts to catch up with competitors. Apple introduced Apple Intelligence at the WWDC24 conference, emphasizing its robust data processing and contextual awareness capabilities.

Apple Intelligence is designed to thoroughly understand various types of data on devices, such as photos, emails, and messages, to provide personalized intelligent services to users. Alongside basic data processing, it boasts strong learning and reasoning skills to continuously adapt to user habits and deliver more precise and attentive services.

Earlier reports indicated that Apple Intelligence features were set for release on October 28 with iOS 18.1. This update promises to deliver the first wave of Apple Intelligence capabilities to iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 series users, including a revamped Siri interface, faster response times, text editing tools, notification summaries, and photo editing features. More advanced Apple Intelligence functionalities are anticipated in subsequent updates.
