FedEx Corporation (FDX, Financial), a leading American courier delivery services company, has announced the expansion of its international freight route from Qingdao to the United States. The company has also officially launched an operational hub at the Qingdao International Port, bolstering its logistics network in China.

The enhanced route begins at Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport, makes a stop in Osaka, Japan, and then continues to Memphis, Tennessee, USA. Initially, the route was operated on a trial basis with one flight per week since May. Following its success, FedEx has upgraded the service to operate five flights weekly, from Monday to Friday, using B777 cargo aircraft.

This expansion is expected to significantly reduce shipping time for customers in Qingdao and the Shandong region, cutting the North American export delivery time by one day. Some shipments to the United States may even be eligible for next-day delivery.
