Apple (AAPL, Financial) is gearing up for an ambitious 2025, with plans to release more than 20 new products, including updates across its hardware lineup and a continued focus on growing its services revenue. A new MacBook Air, featuring the M4 chip, could debut as early as January, while other key releases are expected throughout the year.
The iPhone 17 is anticipated to be the centerpiece of Apple's 2025 lineup, likely maintaining its position as the company's best-seller. "The most important new product for Apple in 2025 will be the iPhone 17, but the company should also debut a new Apple Watch, new notebooks and Macs, and possibly the next version of its Vision Pro," said Jonathan Weber, Investing Group Leader for Cash Flow Club. Weber also highlighted potential launches in the home accessories segment that could bring unexpected growth opportunities.
Services revenue, which has been a cornerstone of Apple's growth, will continue to play a critical role this year. As hardware sales cycle through new iterations, the company is expected to lean heavily on its ecosystem of subscription-based services to drive earnings.
Reports suggest the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models with M4 chips could arrive this month, preceding the release of the iPad Air, entry-level iPads, and iPhone SE models, which are rumored to launch in March. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman recently noted on social media that Apple's schedule for these releases appears to prioritize its MacBook offerings.Shares of Apple edged down 0.2% in early trading on Monday.
