Filterbuy, a prominent name in the air filtration industry, has announced a strategic partnership with Roadie, a company under the umbrella of United Parcel Service (UPS, Financial), to provide same-day delivery services for its extensive lineup of air filters. Through the utilization of RoadieXD™, a specialized cross-docking solution, Filterbuy customers can now enjoy expedited delivery for even the largest air filters, significantly enhancing customer satisfaction and competitive positioning.
RoadieXD™ integrates cross-docking capabilities with Roadie’s on-demand delivery platform, specifically designed to accommodate the delivery of oversized items that traditional delivery networks find challenging. According to recent data gathered by Roadie, nearly half (49%) of retailers have noted slow delivery speeds as a major contributor to cart abandonment, particularly for oversized items.
Beginning with its initial collaboration last year, Filterbuy is now scaling up its use of RoadieXD™ as the service rapidly expands its cross-docking locations across the United States. By the end of 2025, these facilities will extend same-day delivery capabilities to 60% of the U.S. population, allowing delivery in a 100-mile radius from each location.
The partnership is mutually beneficial, as RoadieXD™ can manage items up to 200 pounds and 12 feet in length, including pallets, optimizing logistics and reducing delivery times from several days to a matter of hours. This innovation provides a crucial support system for Filterbuy’s operations, enabling order fulfillment from any marketplace seller and enhancing customer experience with quick and reliable delivery services.
