  • The project targets feasibility studies by end of 2025 and initial 'Stage 1' operations by the end of 2026.

Barton Gold Holdings (OTCQB:BGDFF) has announced an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for its Challenger Gold Project in South Australia. The MRE indicates a resource of 223,000 ounces of gold at a grade of 0.72 g/t Au from 9.56 million tonnes of material. This includes 81,200 ounces contained in high-grade open pit zones, demonstrating significant potential for economic extraction.

The company aims to conduct feasibility studies by the end of 2025, with plans to commence initial 'Stage 1' operations by the end of 2026. A major focus is the potential reprocessing of Tailings Storage Facility 1 (TSF1), which holds higher-grade gold mineralization around its periphery. Drilling results from TSF1 show promising intervals, such as 20m @ 0.70 g/t Au and 21m @ 0.66 g/t Au, highlighting the viability of this approach.

Barton Gold's strategy leverages its fully permitted Central Gawler Mill, reducing development costs and risks by processing mill feed from nearby sources. This efficient use of existing infrastructure positions the company well for future operations and potential elevation to producer status.
