The introduction of the Gogo Galileo HDX is anticipated to enhance in-flight connectivity for jet owners, ensuring dependable high-speed internet across the globe. This development is contingent upon the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) granting Supplemental Type Certification (STC) by late 2025.
The Gogo Galileo HDX system is an advanced connectivity solution specifically designed for business aviation. It features a fuselage-mounted HDX antenna, coupled with an AVANCE technology router, providing a significant upgrade for in-flight experiences. This will be available across a range of Cessna Citation models including the Citation X+, Sovereign+, Latitude, and XLS+ among others.
Brian Rohloff, Senior Vice President of Global Customer Support at Textron Aviation, emphasized the importance of maintaining connectivity during flights. The rollout of the Gogo Galileo HDX system will initially begin at domestic Textron Aviation Service Centers, with subsequent certifications from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) planned for a later date.
