The company has appointed Dr. Fernando Tallarico, PhD, P.Geo, to the Board of Directors and Audit Committee. Dr. Tallarico brings with him over 35 years of experience in the geological and mining sectors, particularly in the Brazilian battery metals industry. His career includes significant roles at companies such as Vale S.A., BHP, and most recently, Axel REE, where he contributed to the discovery and advancement of high-grade rare-earth and gallium mineralization.
In addition to Dr. Tallarico's appointment, Sead Hamzagic has been named Chair of the Audit Committee. Mr. Hamzagic offers a wealth of experience from his 37-year career in financial management and public practice accounting within the natural resources and mining sectors. His notable achievements include serving as CFO for several public companies and successfully managing a $12.2 million IPO for Northstar Clean Technologies.
The changes come as Spark Energy Minerals grants a total of 2,200,000 incentive stock options, with 1,750,000 options allocated to insiders of the company. These options are exercisable at CAD $0.10 per share over a two-year period. Furthermore, Michael Stier has resigned from the board but will continue to advise the company.
