AMP Ltd Annual Shareholders Meeting Transcript
Good morning, everyone, and (foreign language), which is hello in the traditional language of local Aboriginal people. My name is Debra Hazelton, and I'm Chair of AMP Limited and Chair of your meeting today.
As the Company Secretary has informed me that a quorum is present, I now formally open our 2021 Annual General Meeting. I'd like to begin by paying my respects to an ancient protocol of the very first Australians, to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet and for those lands you join us from. I particularly like to pay respects to the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, as it is their land that I am on today.
Sydney Harbour is home to several ceremonial and meeting places for the 29 clans of the Eora Nation. May we pay our respects to the elders of this land, both past and present, and extend the same respect to the First Nations people.
