Half Year 2021 British American Tobacco PLC Earnings Call Transcript
Good morning, everyone. I'm Jack Bowles, the Chief Executive of BAT; and I'm here with Tadeu Marroco, the Group Finance and Transformation Director. We are very happy to be here this morning to present our 2021 interim results. I hope everybody listening this morning and your families or friends are well.
Today, I will provide an update on our strong progress towards building A Better Tomorrow and creating the Enterprise of the Future. And Tadeu will share more details on our performance in the first half and outlook for the full year.
Today's results show our established multi-category strategy is working. We are energized and committed to reducing the health impact of our business. To achieve this, we want to encourage smokers who would otherwise continue to smoke to switch completely to reduce risk alternatives. We are clear that the greatest contribution we can make to society is to offer smokers a wide range of less risky alternatives to cigarettes.
