Cogent Communications Holdings Inc at Oppenheimer Technology, Internet & Communications Conference (Virtual) Transcript
Hi, everybody, Tim Horan, the Cloud and Communications Analyst here at Oppenheimer. My pleasure to be hosting the CEO of Cogent, Dave Schaeffer. And I must admit, this is a first for me, but I actually gave to a lot of first things.
But the Cogent is reporting earnings tomorrow, and Dave has been kind enough not to cancel coming to our conference here virtually. So we are in no way going to talk about the quarter, whatsoever, but there's -- because we can ask Dave all those questions tomorrow morning. But recently this week, I have a 25-year comp sheet I keep, and I have moved Dave out of the communications sector up into the cloud infrastructure sector of my comp sheet.
Thanks to his acquisition year of T-Mobile, where he is going to be doing a lot more fiber into connectivity from cloud to cloud. All of this is enabling AI, so I really was looking forward to this conversation because Dave knows more about cloud and what's going to be required for AI infrastructure than anyone you're going to talk to.
