Full Year 2022 Esken Ltd Earnings Call Transcript
Welcome to our full-year results presentation for the year to the end of February 2022. Despite the challenges which the business continued to face, this has been a year of progress and transition. We continue to navigate the pandemic and simplify the business to position us for recovery. And I look forward to talking you through our performance.
We have streamlined our business to focus on profitable growth and the recently renamed Esken renewables, support the recovery at LSA, and address residual legacy issues. Esken renewables enjoyed a positive year following a full recovery in the construction sector after interruptions resulting from the first lockdown in the prior year. This led to an improvement in the availability of waste wood supplies and a consequent recovery in gate fees.
The energy plants we supply have also matured resulting in fewer unplanned outages. This meant we supplied 1.5 million tonnes of biomass fuel, compared to $1.4 million in the prior year.
