American Tower Corp at REITWeek: NAREIT's Investor Forum Transcript
Good morning, everyone. I'm Ric Prentiss, Head of Telecom Services Research at Raymond James. And you might be saying, why is the telecom services guy here? We came in 2012 when American Tower converted into a REIT, and I've hosted them every year since. And I cover the towers but also the wireless companies and the satellite companies.
Frank Louthan on the team covers the data centers for us. And interestingly, since that conversion in 2012, American Tower has now become the #1 market cap real estate company out there, pretty large amount. And I can remember in those early days, we had to draw pictures of what towers were to explain to real estate investors what this asset class was, and obviously, it's been a really good asset class. Stock performance has been really well.
