Thank you, and good morning, everyone. I am Rachel King, President and Chief Executive Officer, and the member of the Board of Directors of GlycoMimetics. I'm pleased to welcome you to the GlycoMimetics 2021 Stockholders' Meeting.
Due to the ongoing public health concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and to support the health and well-being of the company's stockholders, employees and their families, we're again hosting this year's annual meeting via live audio webcast rather than as an in-person meeting. This format provides stockholders with the same rights and opportunities to participate as they would have at an in-person meeting and allows us to improve access and participation at the meeting.
