Half Year 2022 Absa Group Ltd Earnings Call Transcript
Good morning, and thank you for joining us for Absa's 2022 interim results presentation. Firstly, I will share my thoughts on where we are as a group in terms of our strategic execution before giving my perspective on our first half performance. Thereafter, Jason will unpack our numbers, following which I will provide some context to the focus areas going forward, and then we will take your questions.
Five months into my role as Chief Executive, I feel the group is in a very positive space. We continue to consistently deliver against our group strategy. Although we revisited our strategy last year, based on the latest market context, we re-anchored into our 2018 strategy. We are confident that the majority of our key strategic decisions in 2018 were the right ones and remain relevant with the strong results we are presenting today a testament to this.
