Full Year 2021 Telkom SA SOC Ltd Earnings Call Transcript
Good morning, everybody, and welcome to the Annual Results Presentation for the year ended 31 March 2021. I will start by just talking a little bit about the operating environment that we had in the last financial year. It's a year that has been absolutely characterized by the COVID-19 pandemic, which contributed to a very challenging operating environment, which obviously has impacted our business in a whole lot of ways. But more importantly, it impacted our staff who -- some of them are not with us anymore, some of them lost family members, lost friends. And it's something that we are very, very thoughtful about because of the impact it had on the person, their emotions and their family and personal circumstances. And having spoken a little bit about COVID-19, it contributed to what you'd call a very erratic economic activity. And that erratic economic activity due to COVID-19, you can almost characterize it in 3 ways.
