Good morning to you all. Thank you so much for joining us. We hope that you, your colleagues and your families remain safe and well. Welcome to our latest virtual market update. As we'll set out today, we'll be hosting an investor update on the 29th of September, and we very much hope to be able to do that with you in person.
A simple reminder of the format. Alan will talk through the financial performance of the group. And then I will follow up with an operational review and look forwards to the investor update.
The group has enjoyed an excellent first half to 2021, driven by strong operational performance and resilient end markets, particularly RMI. Compared to 2019, like-for-like revenue has been up 14.5% and adjusted operating profit for our continued businesses was 14% ahead. The merchanting businesses have benefited from a number of decisive actions taken by the management team over the last 2 years to really make the business more agile and competitive in all of its markets.
