Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the Lead Independent Director of the Coca-Cola Company, Senator Sam Nunn.
Okay. Thank you. Good morning, fellow shareholders. It's wonderful to be in Atlanta on a great spring morning. The only problem is, some of you may have guessed, is there are a few allergies around today, and I have my share. So be a little patient with my voice this morning.
Welcome to the world of Coca-Cola and the 2019 Annual General Meeting of the shareholders. I've had the wonderful great privilege of serving on the Board of Coca-Cola Company, your company, since 1997. Today, as I step down from the Board of Directors, I thank you for allowing me to represent your interest for 22 years, including the last 5 years as Lead Independent Director.
This shareholders' meeting is very special to me and I think to all shareholders and certainly to the Board of Directors. Today, we celebrate the contributions of Muhtar Kent, who is retiring after an amazing career at The Coca-Cola Company. As most of you are well aware, Muhtar served
