Half Year 2020 Serco Group PLC Earnings Call Transcript
Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for standing by, and welcome to the Serco Group plc 2020 Half Year Results presentation. I must advise you that the presentation is being recorded today on Thursday, the 6th of August 2020.
I shall now hand over to your speakers for today's call, Rupert and Angus. Please go ahead.
Good morning, everybody. This is Rupert here. And we will just go rattle through our results in the usual fashion, Angus through the numbers, and I will through the operational side. But it's been a extraordinarily strong first half, where a lot of the good things that happened in 2019 came to fruition in 2020. Revenue was up 24%, with 15% organic growth. And I think it's been many a year before one imagines these businesses could produce 15% organic revenue growth. Underlying trading profit up 53%. And our margin continuing its journey up to 4.3%.
But I also want to say that whilst the COVID-19 has had actually relatively little impact on our underlying trading
