So for people who are unfamiliar with Sernova, what is Cell Pouch and how does it form an organ like environment that can provide a potential functional cure for diabetes -- type 1 diabetes?
So when you think about therapeutic cells, they have to have a place to be able to live in the body. And so what Sernova has done is developed a medical device that can be placed deep under the skin that forms an organ like environment. So the device itself is very, very porous, and it allows tissue that is highly vascularized to grow
