the TD Bank Group Annual Meeting of Shareholders. My name is Diana Lee, and I am Vice President, Diversity and Inclusion here at TD. Many of us are joining today's meeting from lands across North America, which is referred to by many indigenous peoples as Turtle Island.
To begin our meeting today, I want to acknowledge that I am joining you from Toronto, which is the traditional territory of many nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples. I also acknowledge that Toronto was covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaties signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands.
Land acknowledgment is one step towards recognizing and honoring the enduring presence, resilience and contribution of indigenous peoples and their traditional territories that we stand on today. I am grateful to have the
