Okay. And we are live. So hello again, and thanks, everyone, for registering for this. This is one of the biggest audiences that we've ever had from a Red Cloud webinar.
So welcome. My name is Koby Kushner; I'm a mining analyst here at Red Cloud. And today, we're going to be talking about lithium, and with us today is Chris Doornbos, President, CEO, and Founder of E3 Lithium. Before he takes the reins, I'm going to give a little bit of an intro here.
So E3 Lithium is focused on advancing lithium brines in Alberta's oil fields. Lithium enrichment in these brines has been known for decades, but it is yet to be commercially extracted. The reason is because traditional brine operations like what we see in South America rely on evaporation. And evaporation requires: one, the right whether that is a hot and arid climate; and two, the grade.
Typically, only higher grades will work down in South America, generally above 300 milligrams per liter. Any lower than that, we're waiting significantly longer for the sun to do its work to leave
