UTZ Brands Inc at Oppenheimer Consumer Growth and E-Commerce Conference (Virtual) Transcript
Good afternoon, everyone. Thank you for attending Oppenheimer's 21st annual consumer conference. My name is Rupesh Parikh, and I am the senior food, grocery and consumer products analyst at Oppenheimer.
I'm very happy to introduce our next presenting company, Utz. We are excited to have joining us today, CEO, Dylan Lissette; and EVP and CFO, Cary Devore. Thank you both for being here.
So for those of you that are not familiar with the Company, Utz is a leading US branded snack food company offering a portfolio of snacks in categories such as potato chips and pretzels. Brands include Utz, Zapp's, Golden Flakes, Good Health, Boulder Canyon and ON THE BORDER. The Company also recently announced an agreement to acquire Festida Foods, the largest manufacturer of tortilla chips for Utz's On THE BORDER brand.
Utz acquired the ON THE BORDER brand through its Truco Enterprises acquisition in December. With the Truco Enterprises acquisition, Utz became the number three player nationally in the salty snacks category.
