So ladies and gentlemen, my name is Håkan Björklund. I'm the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of QIAGEN N.V., and I would like to welcome you all to this truly unusual Annual General Meeting of the Shareholders from QIAGEN. This is a very important and historic event for QIAGEN given that we also have various agenda items related to the proposed acquisition of QIAGEN by Thermo Fisher Scientific. This meeting is not to make a final decision on that transaction since it's up to each individual shareholders to decide whether to accept the offer or not. This meeting provides an opportunity to discuss the offer and provide you with relevant information as you make a decision.
It is unfortunate that we could not meet in person and provide you physical access to this meeting due to the global outbreak of COVID-19.
