For those of you who haven't followed the company closely, Nasdaq has evolved over the years from being primarily an exchange operator in the U.S. cash equities, options, and the Nordic market into a more multidimensional provider of a wide range of market structure, technology and information services to a largely financial client base. Michael joined Nasdaq almost 3 years ago from CFO role of the main Canadian exchange, the TMX Group, where he was -- since TMX became public in 2002 and helped lead that company's evolution in consolidating several Canadian market operators.
