Great-West Lifeco Inc Annual Shareholders Meeting Transcript
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome. My name is Jeffrey Orr, and I'm Chairman of the Board of Great-West Life Assurance Company, London Life, Canada Life and Great-West Lifeco. And (foreign language). I'm really pleased to welcome everybody here to the annual meeting.
This is the 171st annual meeting of Canada Life, 144th annual meeting of London Life, 127th annual meeting of Great-West Life. And as of April 3, the 3 insurance companies came together under one brand, and they've begun the process to formally amalgamate as one company. The Canada Life Assurance Company will be the new company upon that amalgamation. This is a multistep process that will occur only after obtaining required board, regulatory and policyholder approvals, and you'll get further information on that process in the upcoming months.
