A very good morning to you all, and thank you for joining us, and welcome to our first virtual results presentation. Alan and I are here in Northampton for really the second time since March 18.
After my introduction and sharing a few thoughts, Alan will talk through the financial performance of the group and then I will return with an operational and strategic update and look forward.
So the first half of 2020 was one marked by progress despite the challenges of the COVID pandemic. We've all been impacted by COVID. And Travis Perkins and the Travis Perkins family has been no different, the company as a whole, plus all our valued colleagues and their families.
The challenges we've had to overcome have been extraordinary. Arguably, this has been the most tumultuous period in our over 200-year history.
