Bid Corporation Ltd Capital Markets Trading Update Transcript
Good morning, everybody. Good afternoon and good evening wherever you may be, and welcome to our trading update. As is normal for us, we're not going to bore you with a whole of our statistics and fancy-looking graphs and slides and data. We'd rather talk about the quantitative aspects of the business and discuss what's absolutely going on in our businesses around the world.
We are pleased to say that we don't really have much to update or much different to tell you from what we told you a few months ago at the end of February when we released our interim results. So in the ensuing 3 months, basically it's been pretty much as we anticipated it to be. It should be noted that the first quarter of the calendar year or the third quarter of our financial year is traditionally the slowest trading period, post-Christmas, winter in Europe. So it's not a -- on a seasonal basis, it is the smallest quarter that we faced.
It's also worth remembering that last year, Easter, I think, fell on the 1st of April,
